Come and See our New Designs!

After showcasing our new Kate Mawdsley by Stitchtastic range last month, I'm delighted to be able to unveil our third new designer for 2011, Ann Edwards. If you like what you see in this newsletter, why not come and see us at the Knitting and Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace, London between the 6th and 9th of October. Featured Artist - Ann Edwards

Anne is the third new designer working with Stitchtastic this year and her artwork is an absolute delight!

Originally from Blackpool, Ann now lives and works in a small village in Oxfordshire. She has 3 daughters, a husband, 3 dogs, a parrot, a magnificent cat, Thomas, seven chickens and 2 goldfish. Since 1994 Ann has been painting and exhibiting with growing success. Her work is collected and exhibited both nationally and internationally. She is published by CCA galleries and also makes her own limited edition prints in very small edition sizes which allows her to hand finish the art, so each one is unique. Ann's original work is highly collectable and much sought after.

Ann's designs have been transformed into cross stitch to produce the exclusive 'Princess Whiskers' range. Each design is striking, quirky and fun, using a lovely palette of colours. The fur of Princess Whiskers is created using a mix of colours and some backstitch, and backstitch is also used for outlining. Each Princess Whiskers kit comes with a generous piece of Zweigart aida and DMC threads, presorted onto thread cards.

Our range shows Princess Whiskers in a variety of activites, from a cute-as-you-like seated pose to an adorable Ballerina, not forgetting the suitably dramatic Jazz Hands pose, or should it be Jazz Paws?

Christmas is coming.....

Last month I showed you our brand new Kate Mawdsley by Stitchtastic range, I just wanted to remind you of the Christmas designs, as I know many stitchers are just starting to think about stitching for Christmas. I am so organised when it comes to Christmas stitching, but not as regards anything else to do with Christmas!

The Christmas Cat and Christmas Dog designs are wonderfully detailed, yet quite simple stitches that can be brought out every year as part of your Christmas decorations or left on display the whole year round! At the moment I'm stitching our wonderfully cute Pets in the Snow design. It's a bit bigger than the other 2 designs but is the cutest design I've ever stitched! If you like cats, dogs, robins, snow, branches...(ok, I'll stop there) then you're sure to be a fan of this stitch. I'm determined to finish it so that I can show it to everyone at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace.
