Both glass coasters and placemats have felt backing so that they stay in place on virtually any surface.  The felt is sticky on the inside and so once your stitching (or photo, lacework, papercraft, the list goes on……..) is inside and sealed, it won't move about and looks fantastic. Turn the coaster or placemat over and you'll see a beautiful silver or black frame, which not only looks great but also hides any wavy or frayed edges!

To use, simply lift up the glass part of the coaster or placemat and place the item to be framed face up on top of the felt backing. Gently place the glass down, to check positioning. Then turn over, peel the paper away and firmly push the felt backing onto the placemat, sweeping towards the bottom to avoid any bubbles. The felt can be repositioned, but repeated peeling and unpeeling will cause the felt to lose its stickiness.
